Guidelines

  • Our Foundation reviews applications quarterly, so please do not inquire about the status of your application if submitted less than 90 days prior.
  • All US – based entities must be recognized 501(c)(3) organizations.  Non-US based organizations must provide a letter stating the grant will only be used for philanthropic, educational, cultural or other non-profit missions.
  • For US – based charities preference is given to organizations which will use or apply substantially all of its grants in the State of New Jersey, particularly in Monmouth/Ocean County area.
  • For Armenian organizations in the US or abroad, in addition to Genocide Recognition, our priorities are those projects and organizations which promote and improve education, healthcare, democracy building, volunteerism, leadership development, economic development, and discourage emigration.
  • As a general rule we do not give grants for general operating budgets and prefer grants defined for special projects.
  • Our foundation will only give one grant   per organization per year.
  • Grants that are primarily to produce something for commercial sale will not be considered
  • No more than 20% of any grant can be for indirect expenses  ( such as travel,  hotels, meals, etc.)

Instructions

  • All grants should be presented in English.
  • Please type and single-space all proposals.
  • Please answer all of the questions in the order listed.
  • Please use headings as provided.
  • Please submit only one copy.
  • Please include any other materials  that you believe support your applications.
  • Send links to video and/or other materials accessible through the internet that support your grant or tell us more about your organization.

 

Due to overwhelming submission of grants, The Foundation for 2019 and 2020 will only review grants quarterly . All grants under $10,000 may be considered for immediately funding. Grants between $10,000 and $50,000 may be considered for funding within three to six months after they are approved and grants over $50,000 will not be funded in any time period under six months. Thus please do not submit a grant if the timing of funding does not fall within these parameters.
